I’m unsure of the correct relationship terminology
My daughter is friends with a boy.
Their great grandmothers were sisters.
So their children were first cousins (my dad)
What am I to my dad’s cousins children
And now there is the next generation !

2nd cousins. Both 2 steps away from the generation that were sisters. Your DD & the boy are 3rd cousins to each other (both 3 steps away from the generation that were siblings).

Your DD's friend & you are 2nd cousin once removed to each other (he is one step away from the generation you are 2nd cousins with).
