What do you wear for work?!

Please help - I'm feeling in a style rut...
I work in a professional, creative environment (landscape architect) but I currently work at home so I don't get to see what other people wear. I'm over 40 years and have to be reasonably practical but also want to look a bit creative....
I've been looking at style blogs but they all seem to be high heels and ridiculous blazers.
I guess I aim to be rather 'workwear /ultility' with flat shoes and graphic prints. My go-to brands are Toast (sale and Ebay), Two Thirds, Cos and Camper.
If anyone had any images of themselves - or links to relevant blogs then I'd be really grateful.
Thanks! Kirsty

First of all you may want to get MNHQ to remove your name from the end off your post Wink

I would go for polo tshits, dark smart jeans , with a jumper / heavy knit cardigan .

YeOldeTrout · 24/11/2019 22:01

What is your body shape, OP?

etcher70 · 25/11/2019 10:53

Sam - thanks for the tip - I'm going to browse cardigans!

YeOldeTrout - not too bad - a few lumps and bumps but size 10 and hourglass I think.

I'm a size 10 (bottom) 16 (top) hourglass.
I wear girls school trousers (Papaya, actually) and cheap non iron tops, maybe with cardigan. Only because we have to look professional with customers.

So why do you need office wear if you work at home?

Palavah · 26/11/2019 10:04

Try Pinterest and Instagram for looks you like.

You sound as though you have a sense of what you like you just want a refresh. Please don't ruin it with boring outfits and cardigans.
Have you thought about getting a personal shopper?

Palavah · 26/11/2019 10:29

I'm picturing a denim boilersuit with graphic print scarf, chunky cardi in a bright colour, and brogues.

Corduroy tunic over polo neck in contrasting colour (mustard/aubergine or terracotta/cobalt) with thick tights and DMs.

Presuming you put your wellies on as required!

Palavah - love your suggestions thank you! Will you be my personal shopper?!

I wear leggings/jeggings/jeans as long as comfy. With a nice trainer (I admit I have an unhealthy obsession with designer trainers) but I have just bought some Adidas supercourt rx trainers in white and I'm loving them. With a jumper, I like a turtle neck/roll neck/chunky cable. With an oversized blazer to smarten it up a bit.
