You've Got Mail Notification on Screen

I am on hotmail for email, is there anything I can do to make a "You've Got Mail" message appear on my screen rather than having to check the hotmail site to see whether I have any new emails or not?

Have you got MSN Live Messenger? If you haven't, install it from the MSN website, sign in when you turn your PC on, then you'll be notified every time a new email arrives.

I've downloaded it, will it still work as I have an apple mac??

No idea, sorry. You'll find out soon enough - send yourself an email!

It should still work. A friend of mine has an AM & we chat to each other quite often, so I can't see why the notification wouldn't work.
