Policeman knocking at my door

YUM!! Yesterday the police, firemen, and street warden were in the area knocking on all doors, asking about our area, checking smoke alarms, seeing if we had a fire escape route, marking mobile phones, I had seen them earlier in the day and got very excited when I saw a policeman at my door, ask Misdee!! He was very tall and looked sooo nice in his uniform the fireman was yum too. Dh has gone to his mates up the road and nearly had a heartattack when he saw a policeman at the door when he returned hehe
I told the street warden about the council not cutting the trees and grass, the parking in the street (we live near a hospital and people park all over the place) and the kids that set off fireworks over the field in the coming months, he explained that the playing field will be patrolled this year and hopefully we shouldn't have too much problem. Misdee wants to be a street warden, I can see her doing that, she would shout at the kids, and tell them to F**k off!! Oh I want the policeman to come back!

hee hee mieow. To commiserate, I used to live near a hospital and it really sucked. Everyone thinks they have a right to park wherever because "it's just for a minute/it's important I see my friend/the appt will be really quick" and I'm not being sarcastic with that. I HATED it. Damn sick people and their friends who don't know where to park.

My postman is cute.

The hospital has a carpark, but they charge a £1!! and people refuse to pay it. one day a woman pulled up on one of the neighbours drive and went to the hospital!! Neighbour had a right go at her on her return. I have seen people put up their disablity badge as if that makes it ok for them to park on the pavemant, in front of drives etc, some days I can't get into the street as some prat had parked half on the road and half on the pavement, and another car is parked on the opposite side, luckily we have two ways into the street but its a pain having to reverse the car and turn around to get into the street.

mieow...when are they coming to my street...I want a fireman. It was soooo great when they were on strike...all out on display.

misdee · 26/09/2004 21:43

I'd be a street warden if it wasnt for being pregnant lol.

the little shites round here opened up 32 gas boxes outside peoples homes and switched off their gas the other week. The other day, a lady with a very sick and disabled daughter had stones thrown at her windows, and my neighbours have had shrubs stolen from the garden.

After i've had the baby i might apply for a job, i'd kick the little shites arses out of the street!!

and yes, the policeman was yum!!

misdee · 26/09/2004 21:50

Branster · 26/09/2004 21:51

i would have too

whizzz · 26/09/2004 21:52

Wish the police would knock on our door - holding rogue driver by the scruff of his neck (or suitable other parts of his anatomy )

(see previous Bar-king mad thread !)

littlemissbossy · 26/09/2004 21:53

misdee - if you're any good at kicking "little shites" can you come round here and sort the ones that we have out, please??

misdee · 26/09/2004 21:55

after march!!

Branster · 26/09/2004 21:57

they never come knocking on our door and i've never seen a fireman close up in my life but it is a well known fact they carry long hoses around with them. is this true?!
i saw a very, very handsome policeman once whilst driving, he was driving from the opposite direction and when I looked at him i couldn't believe how good lookibg he was. luckly there were no other cars on that street at the time otherwise i might have caused an accident haven't seen him sine though...
