Stuffed toy age 36 years old

Just for fun. Just wondered if anyone else out there like me.....

I have the same stuffed toy since I was a baby and I'm 35 years old. I cuddle her every night so hubby will come to bed and we chat etc but once it's sleep time I cuddle her. When it's sex time she goes on the floor then I put her back in bed after

She comes on all holidays so that I can cuddle her while I'm away. If I stay overnight anywhere she comes. She's old and incredibly tatty but I love her

I told my hubby numerous times that my son is number 1, then the toy then hubby!! He tells me his football team number 2 and me 3rd so both the same in that respect lol

People I know think I'm mad as they have their childhood toys but put away somewhere not still cuddled every night

I'm even madder perhaps. I have DS4s bear in my bed and still give him a kiss and say "night night, little bear" every night like I used to in the days when DS4 took him everywhere. DS4 is a sullen 14 year old now who tells me "omg you are sooo pathetic" but I could not abandon little bear when he did! I felt sorry for a toy who had been so utterly loved and so I'm still making it up to him four years later...

That's not mad it's cute. I feel sorry for my son's toys. He is 9 months and has 2 stuffed toys that are like favourites. A frog and a snake and he's had the frog much longer and the frog sleeps in his cot but every time the snake is around the frog gets abandoned and I feel sorry for him lol

My DP bought me a bear 4 years ago who hangs out on our bed & I’ve slept with him almost every night since! If we/I go away I take a smaller bear but only because it now feels strange to sleep without holding something I never used to have one! I get up before my DP so the bear is handed over to him then (and he looks ridiculously sweet cuddling the bear). The bear has his own voice too - all totally nuts but it’s a lovely playful part of our relationship that makes us both laugh, so I go with it!

My partner has to suffer more there is nearly 40 soft toys on our bed and I have to find the right ones to cuddle before sleep

My bear is 58yo, don’t cuddle unless I am very sad but he sits in the corner of our room and I do pass the occasional remark to him.

I think this is very lovely and am glad I'm not the only sentimental fool around! Also..I think sometimes when the adult world is feeling tough it's good to be able to retreat to being a child again.😊

I weaned myself offy childhood bear, in favour of a particular pillow which id had since I was 2.
A year ago, I started hugging to death a bear my partner for me for my birthday early October, which I had washed a few times with nice fabric conditioner etc.
The pillow had to be thrown out by last xmas but the bear my partner got me is now ratty and stinky and does the job.
I still have my childhood ones but they don't have the right smell, because they're not the ones which get all warm in my as, and breathed and sweated and cried and so on, on.
If I've ever been without that old pillow or the right bear, I can sometimes make do with someone else's hoodie or jumper to hold and smell. It's as much about the well as the feel. Very sensory.

I have a teddy who was my mums so is nearing 60! I’ve had her since I was 10 and she’s been on pretty much all my holidays including my honeymoon and girls trips to Ibiza etc!
I don’t cuddle her every night but I like to know she’s nearby
