I just want to rant about the way we've been treated by DPD.
It was DH's mum's birthday on Saturday and he ordered some treats from Betty's Tearooms for her. It was sixty quids' worth of perishable items, to be delivered on Saturday.
It wasn't delivered. The driver said it was refused but we checked with DH's mother and she had not refused it.
We contacted DPD on Saturday and they said it would be delivered on Sunday morning (today). Not good as perishable items, but we said ok.
It still wasn't delivered - the driver again said it had been refused because it was a duplicate order. Again DH’s mother had not refused it.
We contacted DPD this afternoon. The man I spoke to apologised profusely and assured us it would be delivered Sunday afternoon, that it should not have gone back to the depot because it was perishable food items.
This was a lie- we later got a message saying that it would be delivered on Monday, and when I tried to call DPD the office was then closed.
I've emailed Betty's asking them to send a replacement order as the items will be two days old. I also suggested they stop using DPD as they are useless timewasters who also lie to the customer.
I'm trying to email DPD but their crappy email online form isn't working, I will just send the email direct.
We've sent her loads of stuff in the past and it's always been delivered ok. What's the point of a delivery company that doesn't deliver?
