Another bargain today

After yesterday's excellent result from Boots I have today been to Toys R Us to buy ds's birthday present. He really wanted a go kart (£150) AARGH or a r/c Monster Truck (£69.99)slightly better. I decided on the Monster Truck and went to the check out armed with my TRUS money off coupons (can only use one at a time).The checkout girl scanned the truck and it came up as £39.99 (the price of the smaller ones). I then decided to try it on further by handing her 2 x £5 coupons and she said she'd take them both !!! Great I thought and then tried it on with another £10 off wheeled goods (scooters, bikes etc) coupon which she took too. So my £70 present actually cost £20!!!!!

I told her I was writing to her manager to say what a really helpful member of staff she was - apparently they get £25 if the public praise them

Yes but dont mention that she took the coupons when she shouldn't have otherwise they'll be asking for the £25.00 back..............lol

Hahaha good for you - do write though it would be nice for them not only to save you money but give her 25 quid as well!! - DP gets cross at the people in the co op saying that they shouldn;t be trusted to do their jobs as they are so slow and stupid - I say shut up do you know how much free stuff we get cause they don't realise that things haven't been scanned - I am usre I could get loads for nothing just by standing there going beep each time they picked something up!!
