Babysitting

Can anyone please tell me what the going rate for babysitting is?

I have asked a friend if her daughter could sit for us tonight while we visit a secondary school. The mum has said £5 for two hours ish would be fine, but I don't want to pay too little

Here in South Bucks I've been told that the rate is £4 ph before midnight - HTH

I think we pay £4ph pre midnight, £5ph after.
