What is wrong with my nails? Pic attached

Hi for about a month now my nails look an absolute state on the edges. They look very raggy and the edges do not blend into actual skin if you get me, hard to describe to attached pic. I do wear gel nails sometimes but never had this problem. Please help they look awful!

They do look quite dry I would leave off gel nails and normal polish for a while use a good quality cuticle oil every day and see how they get on.

Your nails are in bad condition thats all. Mine look like this when they grow under my acrylic nails. Ive been caring for mine a for a few months and this has stopped now. They just need a file!! Get a nail file and file down the sides of your nails that have the white tip going down the side. As your nails grow and you keep filing them, itll clean up.
