I've got a D drive and don't know what to do with it

Boring computer question but am sure the answer is simple for those who know. My C drive on my computer is almost full but I also have a D drive which is labelled Backup and has 15 gb of space (have never knowingly used it) Can I move stuff to D drive to free up space on C drive? If so how??!! If not what is it for?

You just use it in the same way as you'd use the C drive. We had this and we used to have programmes on the C drive and files on the D drive.

Definately move stuff to the D drive: if possible move as many files as it takes to create at least 20% free space on the C drive (because your computer will run more slowly if the C drive is full).

Open up 2 My Computer windows and browse through the C drive with one and the D drive with the other. Then you can just drag and drop files/folders with the mouse.

When you've finished it'd be a good idea to defragment your C drive (go to programmes > accessories > system tools > defragment, select the C drive and click the defragment button)
