How much does it cost to posta cd these days?

can i just pop it in a jiffy bag and stick 2 first class stamps on it? or do i have to go to the palaver of going to the post office?

Hi, DH used to send CDs through the post all the time and it cost 64p when sent in a jiffy bag. This was before the new postal system though so you might be best to check! Hope that helps anyway.

Yes, it's 64p .. or at least it was. The changes that came in last year shouldn't affect it too much.

The Royal Mail has a website which tells you everything you need to know.

I don't think 2 first class stamps will be enough, but three probably would be.

I sent one to EricGallagher (MNer) yesterday. Admittitly it was in a CD posting sleeve thingy, but that cost about £1.30 ish.

under 100gms - 48p first class. over 100gms - 70p.

oh no i posted it today with 2 1st calss stamps on...eeek!

It wasn't in a jewelcase (they hard ones) it was literally just a cd in a jiffy bag. hopefuly it wil be ok.

Should have checked the thread...royal mail website was too complicated and i couldn't find it!

Flame, if it doesn't arrive i will send another with the proper postage on!
