my friend really likes these names but are they a bit feminine, especially if you are living in england and not ireland?

oh and what about Cillian (its pronounced killian)

OP posts:
moondog · 31/07/2007 23:52

The last one is too like cereal which is what kid would be called by all nad sundry.
First one would be used with 'nancy'

nappyaddict · 31/07/2007 23:53

Clancy is okish but agree with moondog. I read that as Cereal at first glance.

What about Connor or Ciaran or Calum or Declan or any of the other nice, normal Irish names?

Pinkchampagne · 01/08/2007 00:07

I personally wouldn't choose those names

bookthief · 01/08/2007 00:07

I'll ask this while I'm on here because I've been wondering for a while:

You know the name Kai which is v popular at the moment, is that pronounced to rhyme with May or Eye? And where did it come from?

paulaplumpbottom · 01/08/2007 00:08

Isn't the stupid cop from the Simpsons calle Clancy?

nappyaddict · 01/08/2007 00:11
