calling artistic mums please

I'd like to make my DS a Thunderbirds Sun Probe (rash promise I made as we've been unable to buy one) but I really am not artistic at all and I have no idea where to start.
Can anyone offer me any advice please?

Has to involve a kitchen roll tube, a cone made out of paper and silver paint/foil.

Is this it? In which case you'll need oragne paint/paper instead.

I think kitchen roll tube, kitchen foil and orange and white tissue paper. Do you have any plastescene (sp?). That could do for the fuel tanks, covered in the tissue paper. You could use wire to tie them on. For the pointy bit, how about spray painting a pencil silver. Fill the kitchen roll wtih cotton wool to hold it all in place. You could always spray paint the whole thing silver, then poster paint the orange bits if you don't have any tissue paper...

Paperclips for the other pointy bits at the top. HEre is the piccie I have been looking at (in case it is TOTALLY WRONG!)

soupdragon, that picture (just to confuse matters) is of Thunderbird 3, the rocket. I'll ask DH to scan a picture of the Sun Probe. I've been unable to find a clear picture on the intrnet.
