Agree with Nutty, TB. You definitely don't sound like a sh*t mum. Hugs.xxx

coppertop · 16/09/2004 21:48

Oh no! You poor things.

nutcracker · 16/09/2004 21:52

Oh no Tb that does sound like a bad day. You have my sympathy as Dd2 had a near miss with a c ar last week. Are you both o.k now ???

Have you got anything planned for tomorow ??

If not just have a lazy day, playing with dd and eating choccie. Don't do anything that doesn't need doing, and just relax.

Caribbeanqueen · 16/09/2004 21:52

tammybear, you seem like a very loving and wonderful mum to your dd from what I have read in other posts. I hope things get better for you soon. Hugs xx

Tammybear we all have days like this. I have lost count of the number of days that I have set out to be the best mum in the world only to find that my best laid plans foul up and seem to have a domino effect on the whole day. The main thing is that the kids are fine and will survive another day. Go and look at them asleep now and I bet you'll agree? Have some "me time" (you know chocolate flake, bath, G+T, early night) and things will seem better. Hoping you feel cheery soon.

poppyseed · 16/09/2004 21:56

PS you sounded lovely on the chat with you the other night and have seen the photos you posted. You are a good mum - just believe it!

Im applying for a job at the moment, but dont know what one of the questions means. Says knowledge of contracting environment. Anyone know what that means?

money is getting me down too

knowledge of contracting environment? what? sorry no idea what that means!

you're not a shit mum, you really care about your dd from what i've read and she's lucky to have you, we all have bad days/weeks.

i have had a bit of an accident prone day with ds, put him in his pushchair outside my front door while i hung the washing up, turned back around and he was gone. the pushchair hd rolled off round the side of the house! ds was fine though. also dropped a hot mushroom on him, was trying to eat and feed him at the same time.

hope you have a better day tomorrow

Sorry to hear you're feeling so down Tammybear. You're a great mum and a lovely wise, warm, welcoming mumsnetter, much missed when you're not around. I'm not surprised you're feeling lousy when you've been messed about so much by that bloody job - have you given up on it completely?
What's the wording of the question on "contracting environment"? There's bound to be someone around here who can help - I would imagine it means have you ever worked on a contractual basis (rather than as a regular employee) or dealt/worked with contractors yourself - but I hope someone brighter than me turns up

tammybear · 17/09/2004 11:25

Thanks girls. I think everything sort of got on top of me last night. Ive got exp coming tomorrow and know its going to be terrible. Mums suggested having them around her house but for some stupid reason Id prefer to be there. Im a bit worried about how dd is going to react to them. Ive been feeling really drained as well.

Turquoise - I have given up that job. Now trying to find another one.

The question for the contracting environment was just "knowledge of working in a contracting environment". I just said I wasn't too sure what it meant rather than trying to guess and answer it completely wrong.
