Oh my god, I seem to be having a nightmare!! I recently sold some things on ebay. One thing I sold went to a woman who originally (on Monday) said she would pay by postal order. Fine. The next day she asked me to find out how much it would cost to send registered next day delivery as she needs them on Saturday for a birthday. I was at work all day and did not see her (2) emails asking this question untill I got home in the evening.

I responded saying I would, suggested she pay via paypal to speed things up and gave her my mobile number to make communication easier. She said she was unable to pay via paypal as she hadn't paid her credit card. I also informed her that I would do my utmost to try and get it to her but that I needed her to appreciate I was on nights. I asked her to wait till after 12.30 pm on Weds before she text me. She didn't. I've since had numerous texts of her.

She posted the postal order registered mail, text me at 1pm to ask me if I'd recieved it. I hadn't. I text her back telling her so. I also tried to explain to her again that I was on nights(!). So she rearranged for the postal order to be delivered this pm text me too to tell me this, and then text me again to tell me I needed to let her know when this arrived!

Sorry I am going on! They kind people outside then started digging up the road, so I had to put ear plugs in for any hope of any sleep, and you've guessed it! Missed the doorbell!! I will go and collect it tomorrow and post it next day delivery and I've been told by the post office it will still get there. But is this woman a pain in the ar*e or am I being an unco-operative seller? I feel like she thinks I am here 24/7 to meet her needs and I'm not I'm afraid! I really don't think I'll sell on here again, it's far more complicated than I have the patience for!!

I've only ever brought things on Ebay, but i'll never think to hassle the seller the way she has done with you. At most, my correspondence with sellers has been a couple of emails.

I think it would have been sensible on her part to contact you before the auction closed to check whether you would be able to have it delivered within her time-limit. I don't think you're being difficult at all, but I suppose she thought she would have enough time for it to be sent because she didn't know you would be on nights.

It's mostly her fault I think, because if she had contacted you before-hand she could have posted the postal order as soon as the auction closed, and you would have got it on Tues/Weds and there would have been plenty of time.
