Not gone grey yet but wondering when I will.

I am 78 in two weeks time and haven’t gone grey with the exception of a few grey hairs by my left ear if I pick my hair up to see. The trouble is that my eyebrows have gone grey so I try to remember to put some eyebrow pencil on them. I have been asked by several people what I do to my hair. When I say nothing one or two have looked disbelieving. I now think I must look odd with an ageing face and brown hair. Anyone else in this situation?

My nanna never went grey, my mum only is partly grey at 70. It's luck!

My Mum is 73 and hardly has any grey hair. My Gran was dark till her 80s
So far it seems hereditary 🤞

My grandfather died in his early 80s and only had a few grey hairs.

Thanks for telling me that I am not alone. It was beginning to seem really odd.
Now you have mentioned genetics I remember my dad died at 86 and he had grey sideburns but what was left of his thinning hair was dark.
However, my mother went grey as did my grandmothers. Never knew my dad’s father as he died at the age of 20 from the gas in the First World War.
