thanks, yes google came up dry for me too.. I just googled Portishead and got a lyric list but couldn't spot that line in any of the ones listed

there was a song by tori amos that had a chorus

is that anything like it? not sure of the title though.

nope I should have said the one other thing I can remember about the song was a male lead singer...thanks for answering my post though.
