Freecycle... how lod should I wait

before deciding who to give the items to? The Fair Trade policy thing says I have to give everyone a chance to see the offer. Is 7 days appropriate or less?? Never done this before!

I usually only give 24 hours after it's appeared in a daily update (for those who choose to receive just one email a day, instead of one for every message posted). When things have gone, they've always gone within 24 hours. Never had any enquiries later than that.

Fab. I'll probably give it 48 hours then to be generous .

As an aside, how the hell do you choose who to give it to?? I've had a few responses and each gives a reason they should have it. I may have to put them in a hat and pick at random...

nah, i just give it to the first person how sounds keen enought to actually collect. iwould ignore any rude ones.

They're all keen - I've had 5 responses in the 15 minutes it's been up.

I normally give it to whoever can collect quickest and/or collect the most items in one swoop.

Oh I'm not putting conditions on it! It does seem fair to give people who aren't lazy ar$ed truckers who are on the internet all day a chance though...

I always go with the theory that the things I miss when I'm not being lazy arsed I'm obviously not meant to have.
