I went on a fire safety course the other week with work and it has really made me sit back and think.

I have recently bought some safety stuff and wondered who else has got them

Fire Extinguisher - £25.00
Fire Blanket - £10.00
Fire alarm with escape light - £12.00

I have also now got a carbon monoxide alarm situated in the centre of the house.

you sound well prepared, got two fire alarms which are connected to my electrics

Carnoodleusfudge · 17/07/2007 16:36

Hard wired smoke alarms throughout house and heat detector in kitchen - means I can burn sauasages without all going off.

Carbon monoxide detector next to boiler

Fire extinguisher

Fire blanket in kitchen

Torches with batteries upstairs and downstairs

Also all window locks have the keys next to them in every room

The carbon monoxide alarm i have says that it's not to be placed next to the boiler, I thought that would be the obvious place

I'm looking for a heat alarm for the kitchen too,.

Very glad I came to this thread, never thought of the window keys. I'll be spending money this week!
