I really dislike patent shoes for school. My daughter's school (secondary state) is more relaxed than some as long as people don't take the mickey, but my comment to my daughter was that if the school didn't ban them they should. In Clarks, there were loads of choices in patent and very little otherwise. Anyone else think they are awful? I think ones with a little bit on the edge are quite sweet on under 10s but my daughter is 13.
