The weather is doing such strange things at the moment but I was really in 2 minds today about whether DS needed a vest or not under his T shirt. What do you all think? Is it time to get them back out after their summer in the back of the cupboard?

my dd (7mths) has been back in vests for a while- mind you i think it was only that really hot spell that she didn't have them on

ds (15wks) usually wears the same number of layers as me. if he's just sitting in his pushchair and i'm walking he sometimes has one extra layer.

i have to buy new vests for my dd's this wek. they have both grown so much this year. i cant even pass on dd1 ones to dd2 as they are now the same size!!

Lonelymum · 12/09/2004 15:24

No not yet!

Lonelymum · 12/09/2004 15:25

But I suppose it depends where you are. I am in the south of England and I haven't stopped wearing t-shirts yet and ds's (aged 8 and 6) are in shorts still.

I'm South-ish, Hertfordshire/Essex/Middlesex borders but just been in the garden and I was wearing t shirt, long sleeved thin-ish sweatshirt and denim jacket and i was still cold. I wasn't really doing much though, just hunting for worms again!!

Hmm it has been a bit chilly here today but not quite cold enough for vests i don't think.

Both dd's need new bests and i haven't got them yet. Ds still fits into loads of his so thats no prob.

Up north (Manchester) it's a bit chilly today and for the first time in months I wore a cardigan out (I am a bit nesh though!).

Was thinking the same myself about vests. I haven't been putting them under PJs yet but DS1 (age 3) keeps waking up at night saying he's cold so maybe I should get some soon.

Where do you all get vests from? (Ds1 age 3, DS2 age 22 months, DS3 age 2 weeks).

blossomhill · 12/09/2004 19:52

No, I don't think so yet. It is still quite humid.

blossomhill · 12/09/2004 19:53

Skate - I'd try asda or primark.

JanH · 12/09/2004 19:55

Skate, your best bet is probably supermarkets (Asda and Tesco), Woolies and Matalan - they all do lovely multi-packs in lots of sizes.

Loobie I've got my heating on as well seems far to early in the year for that already. It was freezing up here today.
