Hi all, I am a complete novice & completely clueless regarding this. Pls help. I hold a provisional driving licence and I just got myself a comprehensive car insurance few hours ago as I found a car which a friend is picking up for me tomorrow. Pls what type of insurance do I get for the my friend to pick up & drive the car to me (55 miles) for tomorrow pls

If your friend has their own car, and own insurance, then they will be able to legally drive your car on the road for you. Your car wouldn't be insured if they had an accident, but they would legally be covered for driving. So in these circumstances, people don't normally insure the driver just for that journey.

Policies don’t automatically allow people to drive other cars these days.
