Urgh morning. Weird dream including a break in and DS2 being late for school and other generally rubbish stuff.

It hasn’t stopped raining all day. Lots and lots and lots of rain. Have had to postpone exercise to tomorrow.

I shall sit next to you and be grumpy with you Wicked. Mine is lack of sleep related —not my fault at all for staying up late— and a very busy weekend approaching.

Lots of rain here too, but it's cleared over now and there's a bit of evening sunshine lighting up the filthy dark clouds. I have finally got DS to start his homework, which means he has commandeered my laptop to do his research and type up notes, and I have the tablet thingy to gibber on. And now I have a cat purring on my lap, so essentially, I'm stuffed in term of any ease of access to a keyboard.

Oh well. In today's exciting news, I'm going to have an early night. DH is out and I plan to have 'lights out' at the same time as DS - Rock'n'Roll.

Not raining here either, though it will later, because I'm going to be stupid hang out washing. DH is working from home so he can be in charge of watching for rain. (I know - it's going to get nature's extra rinse cycle isn't it?)

Went to Lidl to do a bit of shopping. It's amazing what you get for £20-ish. Trouble is they don't have everything I want, so I'll end up doing Sainsbury's too.

Is anyone watching Summer of Rockets, late 50s cold-war drama? Episode 3 tonight. It's a bit quirky, but good.

Evening. No Apricot - it stayed dry I got it in when I got home and it's all put away I am very impressed with my own efficiency (it happens, once in a blue moon)

Am now eating tea and thinking I should put the chickens away. the exercise thing has been done as well.

I definitely deserve some sort of award.

I expect other wenches have done things to deserve rewards too... (I'm going to have to do a collage with kylo in as well... later.)

Work was work. It didn’t rain. I’ve done the exercise thing, but appear to have over-estimated my progress and ability and am now knackered.

If you like croissants, and why wouldn’t you, the fresh ones from Lidl are the best ones ever. A bargain at 35p each.

We’ve watched episode 1 of Summer of Rockets which we very much enjoyed but haven’t got round to watching any more of it.

Just going to claim my rewards. I’ve done loads since I got in from work so I shall need to be rewarded repeatedly.

Hayloft for me too, once the cat gets off me. Oh - went to put the chickens away tonight and found a hedgehog bumbling about the garden DS emptied a bowl of cat food on the grass for it which it scoffed before going to hide in the hedge. Also the bats were gibbering away in the cladding. Hurrah for wildlife (apart from bloodsucking insects and spiders.)

Am looking forward to the weekend, although as I have friends arriving on Sunday that will mean making up the spare bed & hoovering up all the cat hair before they arrive!

Evening. Nice day here, but not 30 degrees!!! How very dare you WW.

Went to DD's this afternoon and we went a walk and got hissed at by the swans.

We have DGS overnight as DD is going on the hen do at stupid o'clock in the morning and her DH is taking her to the station. What is it with brides these days? They're going nearly 300 miles away for three days and the whole thing is planned with military precision. DD doesn't really want to go.
