Have been doing exciting jobs & am now rewarding myself with the Giro - lovely scenery.

Eek at the spider apricot and commiserations re: the trouser shopping letus, always a nightmare!

Morning! Bit less of a lie-in today and DS hadn't bothered feeding the chickens
Now I need to go shopping for some food and also some trainers whose soles are not detaching from the base of the shoe. DS also needs wellies. And I need to bake a cake, and do more washing. It's probably going to be a busy day...

Why thank you Fancy. I have been rewarded all day, in between visiting parents, getting some excellent news off my little sister, and taking DS2 shopping and actually buying some trousers for him!

I’ve recently got into watching Lewis and have downloaded a few episodes. Just started one and Tom Mison’s in it. I had no idea so it was a super pleasant surprise.

I've been so lazy today, haven't even been outside the door. Even took a nap with Fräsan.

Have finished caking. Am slightly smug. And also grateful to people who have gone before me and posted their process on the internet.

Oh - cake making. This is your handy hint for the day. If you use a couple of clothes pegs to keep the greaseproof paper up while you pour in the cake mix, remember to take them off before you put the cake in the oven

Afternoon. Calm is descending. We have one extra child here still, but a fun day has been had by all. Could have done without the 5:50am enthusiastic chant of "It's my birthday, it's my birthday, it's all about me day!" but he was a happy bunny so all good really.

Been a mix of sun and downpour, but I got the washing in before the downpour happened.

Fingers crossed for dentist. Will save you some cake LetUs - it's nice and moist so won't hurt your tooth.
