Of my 101 tasks to do today, I got washing done (distinct lack of billowy shirts - let alone any HBFs to put in them), put tea in the slow cooker, and cleared most of the veg patch. In between feeding the bottomless pit that is DS. That was it. Think the birds-in-the-beehive are blue tits - the parents were in and out today, so fortunately I didn't scare them off yesterday with my inadvertent nest exposure!

Hope fancy has a nice day with FancyMan and LetUs has had a nice day too - with no stropping from either DS.

I am currently listening to the sound of crunching bones... Inconvenient cat came in and yowled in that special "I'm so clever!!!" way. Stupid Cat went on full alert and jumped down to investigate, along with me to discover a single back leg from a rabbit. Nothing else. Stupid cat has finished it off for him. DH has pointed out that we are in full rabbit season now, so we can expect to be coming downstairs to headless rabbit corpses again...

How considerate of them to bring you gifts Helen, and how fortunate that the gifts will be so readily available

I like the party suggestion. I think to thoroughly test the soundproofing I should perhaps take in both Paella and Brandon.

It would be wise - a thorough testing of the acoustics and soundproofing.

Have had toothache on and off since middle of last week. Have a check up already booked for this Saturday but not sure it won’t ramp up before then so going to see if they can bring it forward. Woe.

Bit anxious about dentist appointment this morning but trying to sort of think beyond it and hope all will be okay by this time next week or so.

Hope LetUseses dental appointment went well.

DH was at DS's waiting for the boiler to be serviced, so I was left to look after the roofer . I went to take him a cuppa and bumped into him in the laundry. He'd got his shirt off. He's very tall and my head amost collided with his chest. Good Lord! You don't realise what's underneath those work clothes. I nearly dropped his tea.

Then this afternoon I went to the funeral of my uncle. I started off with 8 uncles, and he was the last. I hadn't seen him for years but was fond of him. DH couldn't come with me, because of said boiler, and it wasn't at the usual crem. I have absolutely no sense of direction and got completely lost. My car, being 21 years old doesn't have sat nav and I don't know how to use the one on the phone. It's a good job I went early because I think I did a full circuit of all the surrounding villages. And of course I hadn't a clue how I got there, so got lost again on the way back.

Dentist went as well as could be expected. There is an infection but the tooth can be saved so I’m booked in for a root canal. Joy of joys. Am managing it so far with paracetamol and salt water rinses so hopefully I can cope until next appointment. Thanks for your kind wishes and to Aramis of course who shall receive my full appreciation

Has been very sunny here today which is so nice to appreciate in a stuffy office with a minimally opening window.

Apricot I very much ed at you nearly dropping the tea. Also the getting lost there and back thing - totally understand that. Have done it many many times. On Saturday I went the wrong way trying to get out of a station after picking up DH, and it’s only a small station. for you for the funeral

No exercise tonight. Not helpful to toothache apparently and also DS2 of course has homework. He’s struggling so much. I really don’t think he should need this much help from me but there are some things he just can’t do. Going to have to contact school.
