Afternoon
Lovely long sleep this morning, much needed. Need to catch up on some work this afternoon. Well it's not like I'm going to be gardening or doing the laundry

Afternoon. Wow this day is going by fast! I took a walk in to town and bought wine. Sweating like a pig when I got home as usual. It's so difficult to dress right, in the sun it's warm but the wind is chilly. Then I cleaned the house and rearranged the rugs in the living room since I bought a new one. I have three rugs now because the cats like them. Then I moved around some furniture and now I'm on the couch, knackered.

Evening all. I have been out in the garden most of the afternoon, and now I am pooped.

I also went out to check the bees - my bees appear the be the laziest in history - they are not producing much honey or many baby bees either . In the process, I opened up the spare hive... and rapidly shut it again at the sight of four little beaks gaping up at me Suspect they are blue tits or similar, but may try and get DS to stake it out tomorrow to see who owns it.

DS2 has taken being a PITA to new levels today.

I made an impromptu shopping trip to nearby big town this afternoon —to get away from the house— as I remembered seeing some nice stuff in the shops for holiday. It’s all vanished, although I got a dress from Primark. They didn’t have my size in the one I’d seen in H&M.

So I’m on the vodka and feeling very blah —and stupidly sorry for myself—

I went for a blood test this morning at 8.30. I'm not usually out of bed at that time. Anyway the nurse was new, nervous, dropped the tray of vials and stuff, asked me if I was alright a million times - yes I'm fine - and then proceeded to attempt to get my blood. I don't usually have any difficulty, but it wouldn't flow out and she took an age with it. I think she went right through the vein, as I now have a very painful arm and a huge bruise. She was sweet though, and they've all got to start somewhere though I'd prefer it not to be on me.

This afternoon I went to a Mums and Daughters afternoon tea with DD and some friends and their mothers. One mum was a huge TB fan and had seen TM and Strike , so I showed her my pics and told her about Prague. She was very impressed, "but he has got two legs hasn't he."

That's a very floral rug wicked Stupid Cat and Inconvenient Cat are both turning into carpet scratchers - despite being shouted at for it. (stupid cat gets her claws caught just walking about on them) so I don't bother even thinking about rugs here.

I think the bruised arm warrants a trip to the Tav sick bay Apricot where Athos and Marchal will pay extra special attention to you and kiss everything better.

I can’t DS2 to stay inside a lot of the time when it’s nice which is great on the face of it, but he really does need to do his homework when he’s back from sportingactivity. Speaking of which, I need to get the washing out, shower and then get DS1 moving.

I would consider it our duty and pleasure to thoroughly test each of the rooms LetUs especially since some of your list are more vocal that other HBFs
I'd particularly like your opinion of the padded room at the end - a slightly more comfortable version of The Wall?

Washing is on - I need to get back to clearing the beds for runner beans, and also tomatoes could do with planting out. And the shed roof needs to be cleared still. 101 things to do... plus trying to arrange up-coming birthday plans for DS and plot a cake...

Lovely here too - which can only mean.....laundry time I shall have to make that more exciting by imagining billowy shirts, er billowing on the line.

Also FancyMan is coming round later so I need to crack on & do some chores. Didn't get much done yesterday as I bumped into someone in town that I hadn't seen for ages so had a long chat & then fielded phone calls from family who wanted to see how DD is.

Planted some flowers today for the balcony and also framed my HP poster I bought eons ago. I just love it!

Oh, birthdays. I have 5 this month, all of which require a card and some of which require presents. DGD is very efficient. She knows the budget and WhatsApps me the webpages of what she wants. It's always clothes or make-up now. She'll be 12.
