Very boring phone charger question

I have a siemens mobile phone that has not been in charged in about 2 months (i lost the sim card, then the charger . I have just put it on to charge now and nothing is happening? could the battery have completely discharged in two months????

m2s - apparently according to DH as it has been such a while it will take a while for anything to happen. It will need some charge before anything will happen on the screen. - leave overnight and see!

have to say though the alternative is that it could be dead . but hopefully not!

MtS, I have a Nokia and when it is DEAD and has lost all its settings (happens frequently, it is crap) and I put it to charge, I have to

1. connect it to the live charger - nothing happens at that point (like yours now)
2. then switch phone on at top - it shows "low battery"
3. then I have to pull out the connector and push it in again and
4. THEN it starts charging.
