Hi all :)
I apologise if this is the wrong place to post.
I'm in the process of renewing my 5 year olds passport (runs out this year).
This will be his second UK passport.
The form states that if the parents were born after 1982 (we both were) then I need to provide all sorts of info on our parents also?!
Is this needed even if my son has already had a UK passport?
We are all British born, including my sons grandparents.
It just seems so much info to have to include on a stupidly small section they give you. they want the (childs) grandparents, DOBs, place of births, date of marriage etc for both sets of grandparents.
I've tried looking online and can;t find any answers to my questions.
I understand if was his first UK passport but it's not, so do I really need to include all of this info again?
I don't want the application to be returned.
So if anyone has any experience of this and can help me out I'd really appreciate it!

No you just need the form and new pictures and to send the old passport back. Are you renewing online? If so, it will tell you what to send. I think the countersignstory thing is done by email now if you renew online

P.s. The passport notes also say you don't need all that stuff if you put the parents' passport details on the application
