Can anyone help to replace a pink elephant? Dd smuggled "Pink Rumpeta" to nursery one day last week and it has disappeared! The NN have been great and have looked everywhere for it- I've now given up hope of it ever being found (though Strawberry did eventually turn up- but he'd not actually left home).

Anyway Pink Rumpeta is around 2- 3 years old- bought for her at birth by my Mum. She is a Beanie, (not Ty very possibly Russ, but I'm not certain). She is about 6" high, and appears to be standing on her hind legs. She is made out of a low-pile pink towelling material, with a slightly different pink on the soles of her feet and I think inside the ears.

I don't ask for much, do I? Have tried Ebay. Mum can't remember where she bought it (but she's a big fan of TKMaxx, so it could have originated anywhere!).

If anyone thinks they may have one, please let me know-I'll pay good money!

berlinbear.com/wildelephants.html ?

Tissy · 10/09/2004 08:07

thanks for the link, chandra. Pink Rumpeta isn't there unfortunately, but Blue Rumpeta is! Blue Rumpeta is an older smaller version of the blue Jellycat elephant. Pink and Blue Rumpeta are the Mummy and Daddy of an elephant family, the bay is a Playmobil plastic elephant!

Pink Rumpeta has shorter pile fabric, no tusks and no toenails!

Maybe we'll have to have a Rumpeta broken home and then a Rumpeta step-mum!

I wish I can help more probably if you find who manufactures the toy it may be easier

muddaofsuburbia · 10/09/2004 14:55

Tissy have googled under "Jellycat" and there only seem to be blue elephants. THe range you are looking for is either "Junglie" or "Bunglie" - junglies seem to be hairier IYSWIM. Haven't tried all the results yet so will keep looking, but Jellycat is a pretty well known make, so don't give up hope yet!

Tissy · 10/09/2004 20:21

muddaofsubburbia, sorry, not making myself clear at all- I don't think Pink Rumpeta is Jellycat! Blue Rumpeta is, but we haven't lost him! They didn't come as a pair, but dd made them the Mummy and Daddy of her elephant family.

Tissy, I'll propbab;ly be going to TK Maxx tomorrow. I'll have a look for you. Long shot I know as your is 2/3 years old but worth a look. Is it bright pink or baby pink?

Chandra · 10/09/2004 21:04

Try this site : www.ty.com

SoupDragon · 10/09/2004 21:07

This isn't Pink Rumpeter but isn't this the most fabulous elephant?!

SoupDragon · 10/09/2004 21:08

Do you have a photo?

Tissy · 11/09/2004 09:47

mckenzie- she's a sort of mid-pink! Not pale, but not bright!

hi tissy

well, DS, DH and i looked at TK Maxx at Hatfield to day but no Pink Rumpeta.
Sorry

treacletart · 11/09/2004 18:42

Is this Pink Rumpeta?

Tissy · 11/09/2004 19:42

no, treacletart, but that's the closest so far. I wonder if she is an old model Baby Gund, because she's similar in design, but about half the height and a uniform pale raspberry colour, rather than patchy pink.

Thanks so much, though for looking, and thanks to mckenzie, too.
