mumsnetters in america. can anyone help please?

ok, sounds really silly but in the birthing programmes that i become addicted to when i am pg 90% of the american ones have these gorgeous hats that they put on the babies as soon as they are born. they are just small plain pull on hats and seem to be pink and blue striped.
well dp and i really like them, and we cant find anything similar over here in uk. would anyone be willing to buy some for us. just want 1 or 2 as we are not finding out the sex and would like to use these in the hospital after the birth.
not sure if you can buy them, or if you are even allowed to keep them when you leave. so any help in this would be great. of course any costs e.g if you had to buy them and posting etc we would happily cover and would pay via paypal.

Have you tried Gap or Blooming Marvellous? I'm sure they do that sort of thing.... when ds2 was born they put this really old fashioned hat on him that some old dears had knitted for the new babies - I have kept it for sentimental reasons but he never wore it after he left hospital!

They give them to you in the hospital. I think we got two for ds2. If we have an extra I will send it to you - I do want to keep one for sentimental reasons of course

When are you due? It might be a bit before I can get to the attic to check.

I should be able to find the box before October so if nothing else turns up maybe I'll have an extra for you.
