Recently moved and I literally have no friends, no one to talk to, I have tried on the school runs but my children are in years where mums have already made groups and clicks .....

Hey - I'm sorry to hear that. So you have any clubs around you to join?

School is not the best place to make friends. Look for something not related to kids that entails something you enjoy, running club, book club or a choir for example. Be smiley, be interested in others but mainly be yourself. You will make some friends. Do you work? Work is a good way to meet people and hopefully befriend some colleagues!

how about getting the kids into scouts or brownies
or maybe a non religious church group thing

Hi Mollyscottage. I'm sorry to hear this. I'm sat here crying now and I'm lonely too. My husband died suddenly almost 3 years ago and I feel desperately lonely at times. I have small kids too so it's difficult to get out in the evenings. How are you now?
