Why keep threads running fruitlessly long after the issue is resolved, taking up space in Active Convos and keeping newer live threads out?

Why enter a conversation days after it began and imagine you can just pop in and add something new or relevant without checking? Do you do this in RL?

How is it 'thread police' when people point it out? All you have to do is check the length of the thread and the date it was started, and at the very least check the posts by the OP.

Basic internet forum etiquette, surely?

And will save you from looking a bit of a twat.

People do feel strongly about it as I have just seen a post calling people morons for not RTFT.

I wish MNHQ would put it in talk guidelines as god etiquette.
