Daft question for any apple users out there..

I am sure that my brain has shrunk to the size of a pea and I apologise in advance for asking the most simple of questions - but in word processing on the apple how do you use a 'tick' symbol (as in correct). I have been puzzling on this one for the past 2 days and cannot find the answer.

dredging my memory here - would there be something to insert from symbol font, and once you find it, just keep copying and pasting where necessary?

mummytosteven - thanks for the starting point - just been through all the symbol fonts and nothing like a tick I'm afraid!! Do you think this means that I need to go through all the other weird fonts to see if it is lurking on there??

Do you have an International menu - a little flag at the top right of your menu bar mines between my Sound icon and my battery icon. Click on that then show character palette then look for your tick ?. I'm still trying to work out how to do it more simply and find a copyright symbol and a hash. HTH

that said, in APPLEWORKS word processing with Arial as default font, option-v gets me a tick and option-g a copyright
