Decree Nisi being read out today so I could be divorced in 6 weeks!!

Well could be divorced is silly w*nker comes to his senses and settles out of court!!!

Is first big legal step thing done though!!

Isn;t the decree absolute automatic after 6 weeks and one day? Can he still contest it?

No we have to go to court and do some more paperwork apparently it is not at all automatic - or at least I bloody well hope so!!

You just reminded me! My decree nisi cannot be contested as of today (6 weeks and 1 day) - hurrah! what happens now I wonder? the time will fly by for you too I am sure.

In theory I am footloose and fancy free - except for my DP and DS, both of whom I love to bits (despite their growth spurts! )

My boss is still fighting with his ex over money.. (2 years later...mostly her fault) - they go to court next month, but has been divorced for over a year and has remarried.

Spoke to him last night - he has made an increased offer - wouldn't tell me what it was - I have to wait to hear it through solicitor - TOSSER!! I said unless it was what I had asked for it didn't matter and we would be going to court anyway which sort of knocked the wind out of his sails!!

I am not going to fight Libb - I have asked for less than half so any judge in the land will see that I am being super reasonable and he is being a TOSSER - he wants it over and done with as much as I do too and hopefully I will hear soon as to whether the court will see us before this babay makes an appearance!!

As for footloose and fancyfree - weird isn't it I will be divorced but have acquired a DP and DS to go with DD so effectively will have more ties than when I was married to TOSSER!!

Hurray Twinkie - When my nisi came through I planned a great party for 6 weeks and 1 day later adn partied my socks off with friends, relatives and dp -

HHHHHMMMMMM yes it all seems a bit surreal thouigh - I am super happy to be getting him out of my life but as I have been with DP for so long and we have our own lives and family it all seems a bit weird - once the money aspect is out of the way and I am free to become Mrs DP I will be far happier though I think!!

I am going to buy DP a lovely watch as soon as I get my settlement so any suggestions of watches that are quite expensive and the sort of thing that lasts a lifetime would be very grateful.
