Buying first proper shoes...

How long do you leave it after they are walking?

I am a big advocate of barefoot whenever possible to allow proper foot development. Nursery are pressuring us into getting DD3 (been walking since first week of June) a pair proper shoes so she can play outside properly. I was going to wait another couple of weeks so she had been walking well for 6wks+.

Any advice?

it depends where they are walking really. if they are confident enough on their feet to be walking outside then I think their feet need protecting from things that might hurt them.
First shoes from Clarks are very soft anyway, with a very bendy sole, great for those newly walking.
