I have a 2 year old little boy who can count to 10 and is progressing onto the letters but he still cannot talk normally- he understands what we say to him but doesn't seem to want to talk- he has already had his 2 year assessment with the health visitor who has said that he seems fine and will call in 3-4 months to see if he has progressed anymore- has anyone elses son or daughter been like this?
Also I am concerned as he does tend to hum a lot which can be very annoying- we have ruled out autism at the moment as we don't know if its done to him not being able to communicate with us through speech. Is this normal?
