can i stay in the car without parking or paying it?

You have to park - there's nowhere to pick up from apart from the car parks. You'll be moved on if you try and park by the doors.

Short-stay parking is very close to the airport building though.

I can't remember how much we paid last time we picked someone up, but I think it was more than £2.99.
