Twitter Request!

Hi all,

I’m asking if some of you on here could please block and report the twitter account called @tightsproblems - the account’s motive is fairly self explanatory! When my daughter was in sixth year at school, this page began and would post pictures of her and her friends when they had tights on. It doesn’t seem malicious and it might even have been one of their friends doing it for a laugh. But, 4 years down the line when the girls are applying for internships/masters, they find it embarrassing that there’s these photos of them all wearing tights that have been posted on social media. The account hasn’t been active for almost three years either!

Twitter doesn’t really have any help desk to contact but I’ve seen that if enough people report the account, twitter could take it down! May I please ask that as many of you as possible block first then report the account either as spam or whatever else?

Just delete the account.

I had a look. I think these days you'd have a hard time getting Twitter to agree that the account was either spam or malicious, though I can see why your daughter and her friends would be annoyed. Which Twitter rules do you think the account breaks?

It's not in violation of any rules which is why you'll be struggling to get Twitters attention.

Sadly this might be a lesson in remembering that once it's online, it's online forever xx

I’m not sure exactly what rule you’d say it breaks, but I’d say it’s harassment to be honest! There’s some girls on there who have LOADS of pictures posted of them. I know that if I were some of them, I wouldn’t want to risk being seen in tights again!

Glsgow107 - the pictures, generally, have been posted on Facebook albums, Instagram etc. But apparently there are a few which were just taken and put on there. I know it’s only tights but they’re all quite creeped out by it! There’s a picture further down I think of somebody sitting on the loo as well. Just an all round distasteful page!

I thought site owners had to take down pictures of anyone who requested it? Facebook do.

I thought so too but Twitter seem really inaccessible with things like that!
