Following from car issues, my pet hate is washing powder/tablets/liquid. Why do they not come with nes/balls anymore. I have 4 different types in my cupboard and cant use any properly so washing comes out with streaks of wash powder down it. Lovely. I know you can phone, but who has a week for one to arrive. And i know its for the environment to stop birds eating the waste ones we chuck into the gutter (or something) but for gods sake I JUST WANT TO DO MY WASHING!!!!! Thanks.

I use the liquid tabs, so I don't have to worry about the balls or nets.

I still use old fashioned powder and just guess how much to add - it's usually OK. Am I a dinosaur?

I use eco balls - ionising balls that you can reuse squillions of times for my washing. they are by the same people that do ecover washing up liquid.

with persil you get nets in the box of tablets and aerial liquid always has a ball on the bottle one....if you buy aerial future tablets you don't need a ball/net as can out straight into top drawer....very good and get rid of all stains does aerial!

jampot · 02/09/2004 00:08

we use the liquid tablets and my kids (and I) are desperate to take one outside and squeeze it 'til it bursts -does anyone else have this urge?

MadameButterfly · 02/09/2004 06:41

I use Persil liquid, you still get a ball with it at the momoent

MadameButterfly · 02/09/2004 06:44

Lavender, I thought persil had stopped putting nets in theirs boxes of tablets last year.

Bellie · 02/09/2004 07:44

MadamButterfly - I always seem to get a net in my packets of Persil. They did stop for a while but they seem to have started again.

anorak · 02/09/2004 08:55

Thanks for tips. I bought a new box of persil and it had a net in, and ive just found one down the back of the settee, so crisis averted for a few days. I dont usually get nets in persil though. I havent bouth normal wash powder for ages, always used to clog drawer of washer up and im too lazy to clean that as well!
