Advice on refund refusal?

Ive ordered sofas off Groupon(red flag already I know) they were reasonably cheap for sofas but its still £349 I'm without. I got an email saying they'd been dispatched but then about 4 hours later a text direct from the supplier saying not available until new year. My problem is I only ordered because the fine print said order now for Christmas delivery and the delivery date was meant to be 20/12/18. I want a refund to order next day delivery sofas but Groupon is saying no way until after 20th then it'll take a further 5 days to get back to me. Do I have any way out of this? Did the supplier break the terms of sale stating delivery before Christmas and not fulfilling and also falsely marking it as dispatched so I couldn't cancel? Thanks in advance.

So, when ordering online they have 30 days to get the product to you unless you agree on a specific time frame or date.

You've agreed on before Xmas, so they need to refund you. But they have (I think) 14 days to issue the refund, so there's no way for you to rush it. And once they issue it, the processing time is down to your bank not them.

Thank you! I worried as much! I'm just more annoyed at how sneaky they've been marking as dispatched before messaging me to say it wasnt available. Now Groupon can't even start the refund as they believe it may be in transit. Very sly.

Section 75 of your credit card should protect you if everything else doesn't work?

Agree with @ree348 a.75 Consumer Credit Act. Raise a dispute with your credit card company, this may increase pressure on groupon.
