Oh FGS DS2 is still awake. He was piddling about with some of his football cards so DH, very reasonably and calmly, took the cards away and said he could have them back tomorrow. DS2 didn’t take that very well. I’ve calmed him down and I’m now finishing watching an episode of Father Brown. It’s all gone a bit strange.

I’m off to the chateau to demonstrate with Aramis that sometimes being polite is not always the best thing

DS2 was first up this morning. He’s going to be delightful later.

Morning. Um... not sure what the plans are here. I need to be prepping tea for the slow cooker I suppose.

I also need to work, having taken on about 9 days worth of work to be done in the next five So given that rather wonderful bit about the origin of 'Freelancing' I shall be tying myself to Athos, Strike and oooh... I dunno... maybe Dolokhov, who will all pay me in kind for my lancing skills - though obvs, I'll have to borrow their lances (not having my own), so then I'll have to pay them back in kind. That may not leave me any time to do the actual work of course... .

This morning's relaxing lie-in was rather spoilt by dreams in which the land surrounding our garden had an influx of JCBs who were encroaching, dumping spoil on our garden, knocking over the beehives, and generally being where they shouldn't. And also both my chests of drawers collapsed Very odd.

I have squeezed in nothing apart from domestic chores so far. No lancing at all - free or otherwise.

I have just sat down to do some work, and DS wants food... predictably impeccable timing.

I’ve taken DH to collect his car. Thought I’ll get back home and go for a walk to my sister’s as I’ve something to drop off and the walk will do me good. I’m home and it is of course now absolutely pissing it down and windy.

I put the washing on, went out in to the garden, finished gardening, looked at clouds and hung the washing up indoors.

Is wicked househunting today, or is it tomorrow?

Have got the massage thingy on at the moment and dear god there are some unpleasant knots in my back. Ow!

Evening. It's pissing it down here too, so we won't be going for a walk although we said we would whatever the weather.

The reverse camera or something has gone in DH's car. He's had the whole system to bits but can't mend it. It's going to cost a bloody fortune.

Going out for a meal with friends this evening. Restaurant is fairly local to us, so it's their car and I won't be driving.
