Sounds like a productive day anyway. Have never been to a jobcentre but i know they were a tremendous help to my firend when she went back to work. She still goes in to them now if she is stuck with some benefit thing or other.

Oh well at least he's made a start now.

Dp was like that when out of work, he often spoke about getting a new job but never did anything about it. He'd still be out of work now if the next door neighbour hadn't put him forward for a job at the place he worked at.

Hope he finds something soon

Good luck with it all YG - we were in same situation last year. Me pregnant and getting my milk tokens etc. It's a very bizarre experience I found. Hope it all works out for you
