Jealous now, although my dh sometimes does this too, is is soooo lovely if it is totally unexpected. He also replenishes my Body shop body butter etc, if he sees the empty container in the bin. Haven't we lovely husbands, go and arrange your flowers now.

Lisa78 · 28/08/2004 16:36

hey deeg, think we are married to the same man? My DH buys me body butter when he sees I have run out... am on mango at the moment!
I have arranged my flowers and guess what? Right in the middle of them all was a single red rose...

AWWWW!!

mckenzie · 28/08/2004 17:37

cant remember the last time my DH bought me flowers and he's certainly never ever bought me any body lotion. I think I need to have a wrod with him.
Oh wait, I can't! He's out watching football.

earlygirl · 28/08/2004 17:53

lucky you does he do this often.....
i demand them after a birth and on valentines
didnt get any for my bd this week ,( i think he was trying to make a point that ive spent too much money recently)
it would be nice to get them without asking though!!

earlygirl · 28/08/2004 17:55

cor blimey my dp would never ever buy me body lotion -bet they arent shy of a bit of house work too!! ......if only...........

Branster · 28/08/2004 18:34

Thank God DH doesn't replace my used skin care, he'd be shocked at how much they cost and I would never be allowed to use them again

deegward · 28/08/2004 18:38

Hate to make you hate dh, but he take night about for tea and bathtime for the boys, and is a quite a meanie with the old dyson. (i'm a SAHM, and I think he feels obligied as I gave up work to move for his career)

Lisa78 · 28/08/2004 19:10

hey early girl, yes, he is fully trained in all domestic duties. And he does the crappy ones that I really hate, like vaccing the stairs

Mine is currently cooking lemon sole for tea. Just brought me in a glass of lager. Brought me back a beautiful necklace when he left me with inlaws in Scotland while he flew back to Bristol to go motorbike racing. think he felt I deserved it after being left with them for 3 days!! With 2 month old ds!! Also buys flowers on occasions other than birthdays, does housework, baths ds every night he is home from work and has just organised 3 days away for birthday next March..not sure where we are going yet..I am very lucky

earlygirl · 28/08/2004 19:24

lol branster same here -i recently 'acquired' some(a load)of clarins (courtesy of dp's credit card)needless to say i hid the statement and payed this months charge-i justify this sort of behaviour cause he does nothing round the house('cept making a goddamn mess!)

earlygirl · 28/08/2004 19:27

GEES scrumpy lisa and deeg - if my dp started behaving like that id have to rush him to A&E for an urgent check up!!!

scrumpy · 28/08/2004 19:33

Earlygirl pmsl at your post...my dh is very good but he has his other moments..dont they all. How about showing dp this thread?

earlygirl · 28/08/2004 19:35

no way!!!

earlygirl · 28/08/2004 19:35

earlygirl · 28/08/2004 19:38

it wouldnt change him anyway hes too lazy to help even if he wanted to.........
but he's working hard renovating a house for us-it'll all be lovely and new when its finished(whenever that is....sigh...) so he does have some uses!!

scrumpy · 28/08/2004 19:39

Ha Ha missed that....you have found other ways of making up for his lack of domestic skills

earlygirl · 28/08/2004 20:06

apart from internet shopping dont think so..(though i'll rack my brain for some more ideas!}

my mate once squirted breast milk in her dhs(now dx!)cup of tea, cause he Demanded she make it for him!! lol

scrumpy · 28/08/2004 20:13

Earlygirl done a similar thing to your mate when expressing at work....had use of fridge and need to put name on carton of milk(lots of different departments) anyway always someone nicking the milk from fridge go in work pints of the stuff stolen so put ebm in platic container put my departments name on it next morning majority had gone...sent email saying my ds was going hungry because some sad bu**er had nicked his milk!!

Still did not find out who had stolen it but had a laugh with my colleagues..

earlygirl · 28/08/2004 20:39
