Its quite a way from victoria -can you change at clapham junction cos its only 5 minutes if you go to waterloo

TheBlonde · 16/06/2007 20:42

Or you can get the district line Eastbound two stops to Westminster - then you just walk across the bridge to the hospital

TheBlonde · 16/06/2007 20:42

Nearby you have Tower Bridge, London Eye, Aquarium

Twiglett · 16/06/2007 20:43

map here

would recommend taking district / circle line train to Westminster then walking

check out www.tfl.gov.uk (transport for london)

The 24 and 11 bus take you from Victoria to WESTMINSTER. The stops are on Victoria Street just outside Top Shop. The hosp is just a short walk over WESTMINISTER Bridge. There are probably buses that take you over the bridge too but I can't think of them Yo could also get the district line 2 stops I tink to Westminster. Walking from Victoria to Westminster takes me about 20 mins so another 10 probably over the bridge.

It's a straight walk down Victoria Street and you get to walk all around Parliament Square and see Big Ben etc.

Hi Harman - you could probably walk it in 30 mins. Walk Victoria Street up past the side of Westminster Abbey to Parliament Square. Cross the bridge where Big Ben is - and you'll have a fab view of the London Eye (the Aquarium is in one of the riverfront buildings by the Eye). Once over the bridge, turn right, and the Hospital is along there. (I've never actually been into the hospital, so have no idea where the main entrance is). But not sure you'd want to do that much of a walk.

Alternatively, if you go out the front/main entrance of Victoria station, there are lots of bus lanes. Walk over to the London Transport booth (little grey prefab hut that's off to the right/farthest lane if your back is to the station). There are people there who will tell you what bus to get - I'm sure there must be one direct. They'll give you a bus map too if you want one. Or, if you wanted to take a taxi, would definitely be less than £10.

Would love to meet for a coffee, but we'll be in the midst of our move. Argh! Anyway, hope everything goes well. Good luck with the appointments.

Looks like I'm too wordy and too slow! You've already been given good advice.

start a separate thread asking if anyone would like to meet you - I think that got lost in the directions!
