Hi, got sent this through an email list. Some of the questions are a bit vague, but I thought Mums opinions might be valuable to her especially regarding employment issues.

I'm doing doctoral research into Perceptions of Gender equality. It

oo, that was daring. I've never been asked before if I would participate in violently protesting gender inequality.

Yeah some of it was a bit odd! But I was emailed it through a feminist yahoo group, and they do a lot of protesting! Depends on how much trouble you're willing to get yourself into for something you believe in, and whether you think certain things can be justified...

I found it interesting as I've gone into childcare after working in a very male dominated industry, so comparing the expectations of women at work was quite interesting...... things are still vastly unbalanced IMO especially when there are children thrown into the equation

Life is full of inequalities - I guess everyone has different approaches in dealing with those things
