Just wanted to say hello. I have just joined today and am hoping to make some new friends. I am a married mum of 1 daughter who is 20 months old. My hubby is a head chef and I work part time 3 days a week. We live near Leeds. My husband works long and strange hours so am on my own a lot and don't know many people near me although I have made some new friends through the local toddler group (one of which is a member on here so Hi to you). I look forward to chatting although I only have access through work or my dads computer so can't do much chatting in evenings unless I go to dads which isn't often as I have no transport with hubby working.

Hi helsi and welcome to Mumsnet!
I have one dd of 3.5 and work full time. Whereabouts do you live? I live on the north side of Leeds ... there is a meetup on Sep 3rd - maybe you could make that?

Welcome Helsi

Enjoy Mumsnet - don't worry about not having access at night, it's generally a bit quieter then because a lot of people only have work access.

helsi · 25/08/2004 11:46

Cookiemonster (hee hee having a good giggle at some names) I live near to Morley. Where is the meet up on 3rd Sept? How do I recognise people if I come?

Hi Helsi, I am also new to mumsnet, I know how you feel with the shifts. My husband and I see eachother for 30mins a day to basically do a handover for the girls. I'm on my own every day from 1pm and in the mornings I'm at work, luckily I work with a great bunch so do get some adult chat. Having the pc is going to be great.
