some of the white coating has come off and the metal is showing through will it be safe to use?

and dp is saying he will paint over it with a bit of white gloss

is it under the turntable? Ours do this too and we end up getting new ones. I think condensation from the steam collects and that weakens the paint and then the rollers rub it off. Dont know if it is safe to use but we are still using ours!!

i think they are painted only for looks
ours is stainless steel
i wouls say it was fine to use but dont let dh paint it

As long as it isn't the seal or anything like that then should be OK...if you hear any crackling noises or if doesn't work as well as it did, bin it...better safe than sorry and microwaves not expensive.
