Mini pill troubles!!!

I started the mini pill (POP) about 2 weeks ago and about 3 days later I got my period (this wasn’t anything out of the usual as I was due), however for me, they only last 5 days on average; this time round it’s been 9 days and I’m still very much on! I have stopped taking the mini pill (POP) today. It was doing nothing but negative stuff for me, I’ve been having really awful spurts of depression and this non stop bleeding. When will the bleeding stop after discontinuing the use of the pill? Has anyone else experienced something like this? Smile ~Jane~

I'm on the mini pill. I have spotting every few months at most and no period. I haven't had a period in years that's lasted more than 2 days. It is very variable though.

So sorry I misread your OP!

That’s what the nurse informed me when I got prescribed for it and that it would take up to 3-4 months for my body to fully adjust. However, due to stopping taking the pill, I was wondering how long it’ll take for it to wear off and the daily spotting to go?
Did you have anything like this when you started taking the mini pill?

Yes I had a period lasting about two weeks! That happened randomly for months then they just stopped. I've been on it years and years now.

I have just stopped it, and had a period that lasted for about two weeks, then a few days break, and it has now started again. Not heavy this time, but just going on and on. I can’t find any information on this, so glad to hear I’m not the only one!

The first time I was on the mini pill I bled constantly and had to come off it. Years ago though, they may have changed now.

MissJane21 · 26/09/2018 23:52

It’s a really light bleed but just constant! I’m not sure how long it will take to get out of my system, but it’s such a nuisance! Surely is a great contraception choice though as you can never have sex due to constant bleeding Hmm

I don’t think it has changed by the seems of it, it feels like it’s not going to end at this rate!
