Anniversary Gift Ideas Needed

It's our third wedding anniversary soon, and I just don't know what to buy DH. Apparently 'leather' is this years theme, and I thought about a nice cuff-link box, but frankly I can't afford it. We've just had a baby, and are brassic.

He has every DVD he wants, his musical taste is too obscure for me to find some cool vinyl, and we have too many books.

Any ideas for around £20?

Oh blimey - men are so tricky to buy pressies for..

Does he wear ties? Ties are nice presents I think, for men.

Or are there any technical "bits" he needs as accessories to any boy toys?

How about a generic book - like art, history or a book with some fabulous photographs in it?

wurlywurly · 11/06/2007 16:52

there is a nice cufflink box here £25

TheBlonde · 11/06/2007 17:21

cufflink box here

I bought some for a fiver in tescos at xmas and they are pretty decent

Booboobedoo · 11/06/2007 17:39

Thank you! He does like ties, but I like the cuff-link box idea as it ties in with this years' theme.

Great links. Thanks ladies!

Cor you guys are very tame...I mean how can you resist this leather

Rhubarb · 11/06/2007 20:43

A leather whip?

Bellie · 11/06/2007 20:46

A belt? (can be used for strapping to something to use the leather whip with!!)

Rhubarb · 11/06/2007 20:46

And a leather pouch for him.

Shrinkinglily · 11/06/2007 20:46

or this?

Slubberdegullion · 11/06/2007 20:48

Whisky?

It's Dh's and my 6th wedding anniversary tonight (and I'm here all on my lonesome...he's at a Village Fete committee meeting ffs).
Anyway DH does love a drop so I went along to a proper independent wine shop and had a long discussion with an elegant elderly gentleman and just the fittest droolsome aussie wine dude about the type of whisky that would suit DH.

He was extremely chuffed this morning.

He gave me a pair of Birkenstocks.

Oh I'm rubbish with prezzies.

Leather?

Belt, wallet, what about a leather-bound version of his favourite book?

Like I said, I'm a bit rubbish!!

Booboobedoo · 12/06/2007 13:58

Mossy: the leatherbound book idea is brilliant! You are not rubbish: you are very tired.

Rhubarb & Lily: I find my DH attractive, but I fear a leather pouch would not set him at his best advantage.

Slubberdegullion (great name btw): he loves whisky.

Will ponder awhile...
