Can I ask a question about buckle crunch?

Sorry if this is obvious but I just bought a new car and did the fit finder on Britax website before buying the Evolve 23. I've just fitted it and I'm not sure if it has buckle crunch. When fastened, the buckle contacts the car seat on the side but it isn't at an angle at any point iyswim. Hope that makes sense, the actual buckle fastens below the level of the seat so it doesn't fasten across the top of it. Is this still dangerous? I suspect the car just has anchor points that are too logn adn I might struggle with this one

As I understand it the buckle when fastened should n't make contact with the actual frame of the seat as described here . We also have an Evolva and there is a small gap between the buckle and the seat itself but our anchor points are set low (Scenic).

Thanks Lizs, I thought I was being really thorough by researching all the car seats, doing the fit finder then comparing costs online before buying it then it doesn't fit properly IMO! I'm going to go to Halfords in a while and ask them to check it.

Just thought I'd say that I had it checked at Halfords and then phoned the Britax care line to confirm and they say that with above Stage 2 car seats it's Ok for the buckle to touch the seat but not lie across it at an angle iyswim. As long as the lap part is tight over the child's lap the seat is safe. It's with the satge 1 seats that it's most important because it restrains the seat and teh child.
